These 11-year-old twins caught the eye of a Swiss photographer named Vinicius Terranova in 2016.
Lara and Mara Bawar are from Sao Paulo Brazil. They have albinism, a genetic condition that causes the partial or complete absence of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes.
The duo rose to fame after photographer Vinicius Terranova used them as models for his own project, Flores Raras (Rare Flowers).
The project aimed to celebrate the diversity of beauty. During an interview with the Daily Mail, Terranova explained how he was inspired by their unique look. He said:
“I came across the models in a video. They are incredibly beautiful and talented and that’s why I wanted to work with them. They are self-confident, intelligent and work very well.”
After modeling for the project, Lara and Mara captured the attention of huge brands such as Nike, Isanis, and Bazaar Kids. The twins, along with their older sister Shiela, have signed on to model for these companies.
The gorgeous sisters now have around 6,000 followers on Instagram alone.
These girls are setting the world on fire one picture at a time.
