A young girl waiting for her father was attacked by a random woman in a fit of jealously.
Presley Keeney, 12, was eating a Slim Jim and waiting for her dad outside a Quick Stop in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. A man then approaches her and asks, “Can I get a piece of that?”
Keeney thinking the man was hungry reaches into her bag and retrieves a Slim Jim for the man.
That when Marlenea Uravage, 29, ran up, pushes the man away, then turned and violently shoves Keeney to the ground.
Keeney’s father runs from the store to protect his daughter, but Uravage and the man disappeared.
Keeney’s mother is disgusted.
“She said she didn’t even have time to think when that woman turned around, cursed at her and pushed her hard in her chin and face,” Fuller told Times Leader. “I cannot believe someone of her age and size would put her hands on a child like that.”
Keeney said the man who approached her “looked hungry.”
“I wanted to do something nice,” she told WBRE of offering him one of her snacks. “I didn’t want him to starve.”
“She thought the man was hungry. Because she’s 12, she has an innocent mind. He walked over and said, ‘Could I get a piece of that?’ And I’m not sure he was talking about her food,” Fuller told WBRE. “Who would be jealous of a 12-year-old girl?”
I don’t think the man was talking about the Slim Jim either.
Uravage was arrested and charged for harassment after surveillance cameras caught her violently attacking an innocent 12-year-old girl.
I’m glad the child is safe.
