Chester Bennington, lead singer for the rock band Linkin Park, was found dead in his home of an apparent suicide. He was 41 years old.
Bennington was found in his Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County before 9 a.m. on Thursday.
The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years.
Linkin Park, which sold millions of albums with its blend of hard rock, hip-hop and rap, shot to stardom in the early 2000s.
Bennington recently performed during the funeral services for Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who died of an apparent suicide in Detroit after performing at a show. Thursday would’ve been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.
He leaves behind a wife and 6 children from two previous marriages.
