Deborah Pearl, 53, was on her way to work at the Harley Davidson Diner when she involved in a vehicle collision and shooting early Saturday morning.

Pearl was driving her Ford Taurus down Richmond Road when a man ran a red light and collided his Jeep into her car. His Jeep flipped several times and landed on its roof while Pearl’s car was just pushed further into the road.

That man, Matthew Desha, 29, exited his vehicle when a startled Pearl got out of her vehicle and opened fire on her as she held her arms up to protect herself. Witnesses say Desha just started firing radonly without reason.

A woman who witnessed the attack called 911 and Desha was taken into custody immediately. The victim was transported to Bedford Medical Center where she later died.

Pearl’s husband arrived at the scene later trying to make sense of the tragedy. He could not even muster the words to explain how they were feeling.

Investigators have yet to release a motive for the killing, but this appears to be a crime driven by hate and intolerance.

Desha is being charged with murder and will appear in Bedford Municipal Court.

Matthew Ryan Desha, 29, has been charged with murder after police say he shot and killed Deborah Pearl, 53, following a two-car collision in Ohio.

Just this past June, “police charged 29-year-old Matthew R. Desha with one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. A search of the North Ridgeville, Ohio, man’s car turned up a loaded 9 mm handgun and three additional loaded magazines, along with straws with suspected drug residue and other contraband.”

I don’t know Matthew Desha, but I know cold-blooded bigotry and violence.

Racism is out of control in this country and something must be done now to combat this kind of hate.

A family just lost their wife and mother in a senseless act of American violence and we don’t have a single clue that anybody in power is going to do anything about it.

Hence your President…
