How much tragedy can one family handle.
A set of newborn twins and their 1-year-old sister were orphaned within weeks after the shooting of their Father and the untimely death of their Mother.
Jevaughn Suckoo, 26, was fatally shot on July 11 at his Florida home in a gated community in West Palm Beach. He was the children’s Father.
Three days later their Mother, Stephanie Caceres, gave birth to the couple’s twin boy and girl, Jevaughn Junior and Lailah.
Caceres developed an infection from the C-section and was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
She died 10 days later, on the day Suckoo was laid to rest.
The couple also leave behind their 1-year-old daughter Kailanie.
The children’s grandparents will now take custody and raise all three of their grandchildren.
“We’re just devastated,” Joni Saunders, Suckoo’s aunt told WPTV. “They were looking forward to the twins coming.
A GoFundMe page has been set up in the children’s name to raise money for health care, education and support.
Items can also be donated to the children at the doctor’s office at 1840 Forest Hill Boulevard, Suite 101, West Palm Beach, Fl., 33406.
